A small group is made up of 5-14 people meeting midweek in homes and other locations. Although there is an appointed leader, all are encouraged to participate and play a full and active role in small group life. It is a place of fellowship, prayer, worship and with time to review and apply the preaching from Sunday. It is a place where people who are not believers can begin to explore what Christianity is about. Click here to view

Why do we have small groups?
In order to make it possible for people to get to know one another better
and have a place where they can express love, fellowship, kindness, generosity,
spiritual gifts and receive similarly, we have established small groups
around East London. They provide a place for new people to build friendships
and get to know others in the church and they help the elders to care
for the church more effectively.
The elders have appointed gifted people to look after 2 or 3 small groups each, help the leaders of the groups, meeting them regularly to support and encourage them.
Small groups also provide a place of encouragement and accountability so that we are built up in our faith and have others to support and care for us in times of spiritual, emotional or physical need. We see it as a Biblical model for church lifenot only meeting in large numbers but also in small groups as in Acts 2:46 “They worshipped together at the temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s supper and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.”
